For the TFW that took place last week, I had to come up with the perfect outfit - it had to be a) extremely comfy - since I was travelling with the bus and had a very very long day, no fluffy skirts could be an option b) rather warm - it was raining almost the whole day and it was the dullest weather ever! c) simple - you can't go like a cupcake to a fashion week event so it had to be more simple than my usual outfits .. and d) it had to be edgy! Trust me, it was not that easy to find an outfit that would fit all these requirements. Fortunately I found these extremely comfy leather leggings. I admit, at first I was not that sure and I tried them on for a couple of times before deciding. In the end I'm happy to have bought them because they are the best confidence boosters in the world! Yes I have tighs, yes these are shiny leggings but who cares?! I think leggings are just as great as jeans and they are not more revealing so why not wear them, even if you are not the skinniest. The feeling you will have while wearing them (a.k.a feeling sexy as hell!) is better than anything .. and of course, your boyfriend will flip out when you go out like this ;) Every guy loves a girl who's confident in her skin!
Now one of the golden rules of dressing is that if you have something skin-tight as the bottom part, the upper part has to be more loose to give balance and create a better visual appearance. Therefore I was in search for a loose shirt, preferably something silky for giving that edgyness. Finally I stumbled upon this white deep-v cut shirt that looked amazing! Though it was oversized it's draping created a beautiful illusion and didn't leave the body look like it's in a potato sack. Unfortunately you can't really see the full beauty of it from the pictures - the weather seriously sucked these couple of days and we used the rain-pause for taking these pictures super quickly! At least you can get the idea of how to mix a bit edgier fabrics. Don't be afraid of mixing leather leggings with elegant items! Fashion is all about clashing the unusual ;)
What do you think about this mix? Would you wear it? :)
xoxo
