Guide to fabulous Christmas outfit that won't let you down on the holidays!

As Christmas is already here, most of us are thinking about holiday-wear but can’t get the hold of it – Is it appropriate to wear sequins? Should the look be modest? What kind of accessories to wear? There are many questions to be answered but we know the solution for finding the one and only outfit that you can rock around the Christmas tree!

1. Sequins - Shine like a jewel
ImageThere are many who think it is a cliché to wear sequins or glittery outfits during the holiday season. However, there is no better time for doing that! Sequins, glitter, studs, glossy paper –whatever it is, the golden rule goes like this: the more it sparkles, the better it is! Why look dull during the most joyful time of the year when you can steal the spotlight with your breaking outfit – many adoring looks and compliments are guaranteed if you pull out that sequined dress. So don’t be shy and shop for bling – if you don’t feel pumped up enough to wear a full-sequin dress, then you can add a bit of spark with a glittery top, a shiny skirt or a jacket. It takes only one clothing item to make it all pop out and make a statement!

2. Fabrics - feel like royal
If you don’t want to invest on eye-catching sparkling items, the next go-to trick is to find luxurious fabrics that have the holiday-essence! The key fabrics that always work during holidays are lace, chiffon, velvet and silk. Forget that fluffy comfy cotton sweater because that does not have a place in your outfit this time. The item has to feel as if it’s the best one there is – smooth, soft, glamorous. These 4 fabrics do it all. Velvet is always great way to go for since it’s rather thick and warm so it suits colder time, yet it has a touch of elegance when it comes to it’s smooth, bit even glossy feel. Silk, lace and chiffon speak for themselves and they will only make you feel as the top girl on the party!

It sounds old, tired and so cliché that it might want to make you vomit, but trust me when I say this –red and green are the holiday colours and they always will be! Fashion world is trying to “re-event the wheel“ by telling us to wear other colours but the real beauty lies in going back to the basics and trusting old good colours. Besides red and green, white, silver and gold are as equally great choices. The colour palette is wide to choose from, but nevertheless always trust your instinct.

When making your final desicion on what to wear, don’t forget to just look in the mirror and try to answer one question: does this outfit make me happy? If the answer yes, you have found your one and only look. Ditch the clothing rules and follow the heart - most important is that you'd feel comfortable in your skin!
