Zerxza boot-directory for autumn-winter

When the weather gets colder, it rains more often and you have to throw your stilettos to the corner, every woman's big question is: "what boots should I wear?". Contrary to summery heels, buying boots is a very important decision to make - the perfect pair needs to be comfortable since you'll probably be spending a lot of time in them during wintery months; they have to be high-quality and durable with harsh weather conditions and of course - they have to look nice, even better if they match with many things because most of us can't spend a mini fortune of different pair of boots just for a little matchy-matchy. So what to do?

Though I've known for having 10 pairs of stilettos beside my door so I could wear a different pair every day, I'm extremely picky when it comes to boots. Actually I've been looking for a perfect pair everywhere and I'm stuck - most of the boots on sale in Estonian shoe stores do not fit the important criterias like quality, reasonable prize, comfort and beauty. Why should I buy a pair of  - let's be honest - completely hidious boots from unknown designer for 200€ or more? It doesn't make sense. And the ones costing less than 50-60€ (that would be the perfect price considering how messy weather gets in winter and the boots will be pretty much destroyed due to that if I should wear them daily) have such a crappy quality that they will probs break after a while. I got a huge disappointment last year when I bought a pretty pair of ankle boots with 35€ (amazing right?!!) but they broke after 1,5 months and I had to have them fixed! In the end, it's not reasonable to pay that amount for such quality .. so maybe the right choice is stick to the high-class boots ?

Now my recommendation when buying boots lies exactly in the quality! Boots are an investment and if you buy the right pair, they will be your createst asset in the winter.
When buying boots keep in mind:
a) Don't hesitate to spending a bigger amount of money on boots with high quality - they will last! In the end it's cheaper for you to buy 1 pair of decent boots than spend the same amount or more on 3 pairs of cheap ones that will break easily.
b) Choose boots that match with many items - black & classic are the key words. Perfect pair should match both your pants and dresses - then you can know you won't get tired of them.
c) Comfort. The boot should hug your leg and every step should feel like paradise - soft fabric and leather inside are the things that make it amazing.

Now when it comes to styles there are 3 major footwear-trends this season that you can get inspired by: over-the-knee boots, chic ankle boots with pointed toe and high heel & the timeless casual ankle boot.

Over-the-knee boots are very bold, statement items that have been considered rather "cheap" and "trashy" in the past. Now it has changed! Over-knee boots are the biggest hit this season and with a reason - they look incredible, feminine, classy and hey, they keep you warm. Of course if you are a chubbier lady like I am, they won't probably be a fit for you but if you are slimmer woman, you don't have to hesitate when buying these! I guarantee you will attract loads of comments with these babies.
Another hit-item is ankle boot with a slight pointed toe and high heel. They have everything a shoe needs - it makes you look longer and slimmer (thanks to the heel & elongating toe) + they are very comfy and match with pretty much every item you have. Voila - here's the heart-stealer-boot every woman should own!
However, if you don't fancy heels and want to have something super comfy, casual booties are the thing for you! Though they are not so chic that you could wear them to a restaurant, they will be your best friend in everyday life and hug your legs!

So what are your go-to boots this season? Do you prefer high-heeled booties or casual ones? Would you buy quality over quantity? Share your thoughts with me!
